Applications for the Heritage Property Tax Refund Program (HPTRP) will be accepted between the first of January and the first of March annually.
Properties that are designated under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act (individual designations) or under Part V of the Ontario Heritage Act (located within a Heritage Conservation District) are eligable to apply. Please note that all property owners must sign a Heritage Preservation and Maintenance Agreement as part of their application, with the exception of those properties already subject to a Heritage Easement Agreement.

Required Information to Determine Eligibility
Sumit a certificate from your insurance company/agent/broker that states the Owner has a valid insurance policy that insures the building against normal perils that are coverable by all risk property insurance in an amount equal to the replacement cost of a similar scaled new building with an exterior design complementary to the existing structure. Insurance must be included with this Application.

Provide a current photograph of each elevation of the building (north, south, east and west) and any other identified heritage attributes on the property. Indicate when photographs were taken.

To be eligible, the heritage features must be preserved, the property/building must be maintained in a good state of repair and be in a habitable condition.
I confirm that all the information contained herein is true and correct, that I have read and agree to the terms of the Hertitage Preservation and Maintenance Agreement and that by checking "Yes", I am also agreeing to be bound by the terms of the Agreement with the acception of those properites already subject to a Heritage Easement Agreement, if the Application is approved and executed by the Town.
The personal information on this form is collected under the authority of Section 365.2 of the Municipal Act, as amended, and By-law 2010-0006, as amended. The information is used for the purpose of processing this application and administering the legislation. When received, this application will be reviewed by the Manager of Heritage Planning, in consultation with Heritage Halton Hills, and upon approval, the owner will be notified if the applications are successful.
The Applicant acknowledges that access to the Designated Property may be required by the Manager of Heritage Planning prior to the approval of the application with advance notice and in consultation with the property owner.
